EnRoute Fire/EMS CAD
The EnRoute Fire/EMS CAD system quickly and efficiently dispatches appropriate units with the critical information needed to properly handle any situation. It provides the tools to help WIN THE RACE AGAINST TIME®.
Overview
Immediate response, safety, better decision-making, and reliability depend on the timely and secure communication of accurate information. Available on Unix and Window servers, the EnRoute Fire/EMS Computer-aided Dispatch (CAD) products are specifically designed to facilitate quick response to incoming calls, rapid dispatch of required units, and complete documentation of incidents.
Supporting multiple calltakers, dispatchers, and active incidents, each call may be dispatched by phone number, address (validated against a geographical database), grid, intersection, x and y coordinates, business name, landmark, call box, or alarm activation. Dispatchers can instantly display previous incident information based on the specific location.
Caution notes, emergency contact numbers, and user-definable codes provide units with pertinent information to aid in personnel safety and awareness for the incident at hand. The system may be scaled for one or many agencies. Multi-jurisdictional centers can be accommodated with individual response types, as well as restricted display and reporting (by agency and/or area).

Designed for Ease of Use for Quick Response
The CAD application is designed to assist the dispatchers with up-to-the-second system status displays, summarizing the calls being worked and the apparatus assigned to each. Color-coded system status information and message alerts provide high-visibility information summaries. Statuses are color-coded to match the apparatus status colors elsewhere in the system for cross-referencing.
Dispatchers may select displays or CAD functions by using the mouse or by entering simple commands at Status Bar. Commonly used functions are available from the Status Bar as clickable buttons or icons. The Status Bar provides a snapshot of the current system status, using icons and text to alert the dispatcher to new messages, moveups, or quarter changes in effect and new memos from other CAD users.
Unit assignments may be automatically recommended, but the dispatcher makes the final determination. Unit status may be changed, reassigned, or closed out from a call at any time.
Supervisory vehicles may be highlighted on the screen to designate the fire ground incident commander from other responders to an incident.
A Quick Notes option allows dispatchers to review or update the notes for any active call from the display without having to first select the call into the Active Call Details display.
A calltaker module is included that enables agencies to utilize trained Fire/EMS calltakers to determine and prioritize all emergencies.
Short-cut commands provide additional information for rapid call entry to assist your agency in being better prepared to respond quicker and smarter.
Integration Options
EnRoute Fire/EMS CAD systems are fully integrated to provide interfaces with EnRoute ElectraFire and EnRoute Mobile applications, as well as with other CAD and RMS systems, E911 inbound systems, AVL, Priority Dispatch Corporation's ProQA software, Bradshaw Consulting Services' MARVLIS System Status and Demand Monitoring, alphanumeric paging, a variety of station/unit encoders, and truck status heads.

The EnRoute Fire/EMS Mobile application is a high-performance wireless mobile computing solution. It provides you with information to help WIN THE RACE AGAINST TIME®.
Overview
The EnRoute Mobile application works together with EnRoute Computer-aided Dispatch (CAD) as well as other CAD systems to ensure response personnel have critical time-sensitive information. Whether you employ public or a private radio network, field personnel can receive incident information, update statuses, download images, and view maps - all from a mobile data computer via silent dispatch.
EnRoute Mobile provides CAD functionality, including access to incident information, updated situation notes, and the ability to update the incident and unit status. It pays special attention to ease of operation, and all operations are single-hand keyboard accessible. Each function key may be programmed to perform a specific task.
Graphical display forms, status keys, inquiry forms, and short-cut keys are site-specific. Built-in security allows administrators full control of system capabilities. Caution flag buttons provide information such as caution notes, emergency contact(s) information, approach instructions, and map displays.

EnRoute Fire/EMS I-STATUS
The EnRoute Fire/EMS I-STATUS (Intranet Status Account) application quickly displays current call information in an easy-to-evaluate graphical format. It provides you with the information to help WIN THE RACE AGAINST TIME®.
Overview
The EnRoute Fire/EMS I-STATUS application integrates with EnRoute Fire/EMS Computer-aided Dispatch (CAD) system, providing real-time web access via Internet Explorer to current call status information and available resources. With this dynamic technology, key personnel can monitor operational status and activity at anytime without being in the communications center. Both active and historical CAD data may be viewed.
Security can be tailored to your agency's requirements, allowing personnel to take control without sacrificing data integrity. User access to filtered information is controlled through a profile table, and access can be restricted at the server and/or user level.
User profiles are defined to your specifications for exact control over which areas within the application may be viewed. Further restrictions can be placed on notes and other sensitive data to ensure exclusion from public access.
The Active Fire/EMS Calls screen displays active calls and related information, such as incident number, the time that the call was received, the TAC channel on which the call is being worked, the location of the call, and the nature of the call. The apparatus assigned to each call and its current status are also displayed.
If the call is at a multi-address (e.g., apartment complex), the Building Name, Lot, and/or Apartment Number are displayed in the Building field when viewing call details.
Clicking on a Location on the Active Fire/EMS Calls screen displays more details. Additional information includes items such as callback telephone number, code, grid, nature code, map page, cross streets, hydrant information, and notes of the call.

EnRoute Mapping
The EnRoute Mapping application provides integrated mapping and routing solutions for computer-aided dispatch (CAD), mobile data computing (MDC), and records analysis systems. It provides you with the information to help WIN THE RACE AGAINST TIME®.
Overview
Dependent on the geofile information provided, operational functions include the display of multiple layers of information from law enforcement, fire/EMS, and private ambulance zones (e.g., hydrant layers, alarm response data).
Upon assignment of a unit to an incident, CAD sends updated incident and unit information to all map stations. The map can be centered on an address, a location, or current incident. Each user can set the default scale.
Incidents and runs are indicated on the map by icons representing type of call (burglary, house fire, heart attack, accident, etc.). Units are colorized to match the status colors on the dispatcher's Unit Status or activity screens. Icons also represent areas such as hospitals and hazard locations. A set of icons are provided, but user-defined icons can be added.
Key Features
- Follow Me window - allows you to focus on and track a unit. It can be displayed in a secondary window, adding a map icon to the end of the Icon Bar for focus control. Multiple-map display features allow you to change focus between maps as needed.
- Playback feature - works in conjunction with AVL and is used to define, display, and save the movements of a particular unit or time span for historic review.
- Hot links - utilizes user-definable connections that access documents or Internet/Intranet links (e.g., building plans, campus layout, links to Internet map sites showing location of hazmat materials, landmarks, state sex offenders, etc.).
- Prior Calls search within CAD - displays on the map to show activity by type of call, call area, for specific units, group of units, high crime areas, bad intersections, etc.
Self-initiated events generated from EnRoute Mobile (e.g., traffic stops, on scene, en route, administrative) update the map display as responders in the field enter call activity into the CAD system.
Map Dispatch involves selecting a location from the map and sending the call to CAD. Address is identified by clicking on a location or drawing a user-defined radius around a point, and then making a selection from a street segment list.
Toolbar and Options
The Toolbar consists of frequently used features that can be accessible via a click of the mouse, based on site-specific setup. Various toolbar options can also be accessed via CAD Command Line, Right-Click Menu, and/or from Menu options.
The Command Line entry provides zooming and panning information from the CAD keyboard.
The Right-click menu consists of frequently used features for an application, such as change view, find place, geocode, identify, pan, routing, zooming in and out, etc.
Menu options include:
- File - sets up default positions, map window, or a follow-me map window on a unit within a smaller viewing area.
- Edit - sets up and modifies play back option (available with AVL only).
- Tools - used to check the status (tallies unrestricted active or waiting call by type of service), find or identify places (x/y, available layer, etc.), calculate distance between points, or obtain information on a call or unit.
- Display - controls event types and layers for view by type of service or nature; views or tracks 911 activity (with or without ellipsis shading for cell tower uncertainty); and visualizes recommended routes.
Routing and Street Closure Module
Mapping and routing capabilities, along with AVL, offer visual representation that will help expedite response to the incident. When a unit is assigned to an incident, a map-generated recommended route will display between each unit responding to the incident and incident icon. The detailed routing recommendations with turn-by-turn text directions consider street closures and barriers that have been set up on the map.
